چگونه بايد به مطالعه درست زبان انگليسي پرداخت كه داراي حداكثر بهره‌وري باشد و از به هدر رفتن بيهوده وقت و انرژي جلوگيري كرد؟
مجتبی مهر بخش سوپر وایزر دپارتمان زبان‌های خارجی جهاددانشگاهی خراسان‌جنوبی در گفت و گو با ایسنا گفت: چند راهكار بسيار ساده ولي با اهميّت به زبان‌آموزان و علاقه‌مندان انگليسي معرفي مي‌كنيم. ترديد نكنيد اگر آنها را به دقّت به كار گيريد، ميزان پيشرفت و يادگيري شما چندين برابر خواهد شد و با صرف وقت و انرژي كمتر، مطالب بيشتري را ياد خواهيد گرفت. ضمن آنكه اين‌بار يادگيري برايتان لذّت‌بخش‌تر خواهد شد و بدون هيجان و دلواپسي در موقعيت‌هاي گوناگون به خوبي از دانش زباني خود استفاده خواهيد كرد.
هدف خود را مشخص كنيد
چرا مي‌خواهيد زبان بياموزيد؟ چه چيزي مي‌خواهيد ياد بگيريد؟ مكالمه‌هاي روزمرّه؟ تست‌هاي كنكور؟ كلمه‌ها و اصطلاحاتي كه در كامپيوترو اينترنت به كار مي‌رود؟ فهميدن اخبار و فيلم‌ها؟ خواندن متن‌هاي درك‌مطلب؟ در چه سطحي مي‌خواهيد ياد بگيريد؟ پايه، متوسط، پيشرفته، تافل و...؟
از پايه شروع كنيد؛
مهربخش گفت: اگر زبان انگليسي‌تان خيلي ضعيف است، از كتابهاي پايه و ساده شروع كنيد. خجالت نكشيد كه از سطح بسيار پايين شروع مي‌كنيد. مهم اين است كه درست و اصولي شروع كنيد ولي تا سطوح بالا و عالي ادامه دهيد.
همراه پيدا كنيد؛
وی افزود: انتخاب يك دوستِ علاقه‌مند به زبان انگليسي، يادگيري را براي شما آسان‌تر و جالب‌تر مي‌كند و مي‌توانيد آموخته‌هاي خود را با يكديگر در ميان بگذاريد و با هم تبادل‌نظر كنيد.
از اين شاخه به آن شاخه نپريد؛
سوپر وایزر دپارتمان زبان‌های خارجی جهاددانشگاهی خراسان‌جنوبی گفت: كتابها، مطالب، نوارها و سي‌دي‌هاي مورد علاقه خود را به دقت انتخاب كنيد. هرچه بيشتر به موضوعاتي كه مطالعه مي‌كنيد علاقه‌مند باشيد، يادگيري برايتان جذاب‌تر مي‌شود. سعي كنيد كتابها و متن‌هايي كه براي مطالعه انتخاب مي‌كنيد ارتباط زيادي با انگليسي واقعي (real English) داشته باشد. دائماً كتابها و كلاس‌هاي خود را عوض نكنيد.
انگليسي را از طريق گوش بياموزيد؛
اولين مرحله يادگيري زبان گوش‌دادن (Listening) است. تا مي‌توانيد به نوارها و سي‌دي‌هاي صوتي و تصويري گوش كنيد. گوش دادن به راديو، تلويزيون و نيز تماشاي فيلم و كارتون‌هاي انگليسي بسيار مهم است.
هرگز يادگيري انگليسي را با كتاب‌هايي كه بدون نوار كاست و يا سي‌دي است شروع نكنيد. اینگونه كتابها ارزش يادگيري ندارند. زبان انگليسي داراي لهجه‌هاي گوناگون است كه فقط از طريق گوش‌دادن زياد پي به آنها خواهيد برد.
حفظ كردن واژگان را متوقف كنيد؛
وی تصریح کرد: خواندن و حفظ كردن واژگان و كلمه‌هاي يك زبان به تنهايي ارزش ندارد. واژگان زماني ارزش و معني پيدا مي‌كنند كه در قالب عبارت و جمله باشند. هميشه سعي كنيد يك كلمه و اصطلاح جديد را در قالب عبارت و يا جمله‌اي آسان ياد بگيريد.
پرسيدن عيب نيست؛
سوپر وایزر دپارتمان زبان‌های خارجی جهاددانشگاهی خراسان‌جنوبی گفت: هرجا به مطلبي برخورد كرديد كه آن را نمي‌دانيد از معلم خود يا ديگران بپرسيد. نگذاريد سؤالات بي‌جواب شما روز به روز بيشتر و بيشتر شوند و به انبوهي از مجهولات تبديل شوند. هميشه گفته‌اند سؤال كردن عيب نيست، ندانستن عيب است.
يادداشت‌برداري كنيد؛
از سخنان مهم و نيز نوشته‌هاي تخته كلاس و يا متون درسي‌تان يادداشت‌برداري كنيد. يادداشت‌هاي منظم و مرتب شده براي مرورهاي بعدي به كارتان مي‌آيد.
هر روز ياد بگيريد؛
مهر بخش افزود: حتماً شنيده‌ايد كه مي‌گويند انگليسي فرّار است. يعني از مغز فرار مي‌كند. اين به آن دليل است كه ما از انگليسي فرار مي‌كنيم. اگر يادگيري و مطالعه براي ما يك عادت شود از آن لذت مي‌بريم. مطالعه روزانه حدود 15 الي 20 دقيقه به مراتب بهتر از هفته‌اي يك روز و آن هم 2 تا 3 ساعت است. از يادگيري به صورت منظم و پيوسته ماندگار‌تر است.
دهانتان را باز كنيد؛
وی ادامه داد: به خود جرأت صحبت كردن بدهيد. با ديگران ارتباط برقرار كنيد. هر آنچه را ياد مي‌گيريد، صحبت كنيد. از اشتباه كردن نترسيد. خود انگليسي زبانها نيز اشتباه مي‌كنند.
از اينترنت استفاده كنيد؛
سوپر وایزر دپارتمان زبان‌های خارجی جهاددانشگاهی خراسان‌جنوبی گفت: بعضي از شبكه‌ها و پايگاههاي اينترنتي حاوي مطالب سودمندي براي زبان‌آموزان هستند.
صبور باشيد؛
وی اظهار کرد: يادگيري زبان فرايندي تدريجي است. تصور نكنيد كه ياد گرفتن زبان با يك يا دو ماه كلاس رفتن حاصل مي‌شود. زود مأيوس نشويد. به قول ضرب‌المثل معروف: "كارها نيكو شود اما به صبر". ضمناً فريب بعضي از آگهي‌هاي تجاري را كه مدعي آموزش مكالمه زبان در 10 يا 15 جلسه و يا در خواب هستند را نخوريد.
آموخته‌هايتان را مرور كنيد؛
وی اذعان کرد: هر از چند گاهي مطالب گذشته را مرور كنيد و آموخته‌هاي خود را با دانسته‌هاي قبلي پيوند بزنيد.
سوپر وایزر دپارتمان زبان‌های خارجی جهاددانشگاهی خراسان‌جنوبی یادآور شد: در پايان ذكر اين نكته ضروري است كه مراحل درست يادگرفتن زبان انگليسي به ترتيب شامل؛ گوش دادن(Listening) ، صحبت كردن (Speaking) ، خواندن (Reading) و نوشتن (Writing)است.

Mohandas Gandhi was born in a city in west part of India on October 2, 1869. For many years, members of the Gandhi's family had held important government posts, and for a long time the father of Mohandas was chief officer in one of the states of India. His mother was very serious in her religion and never thought of beginning a meal without prayer.
It was not easy for him to make friends with other boys in school, and his only companions were his books and his lessons. He used to run home from school as soon as classes were over for fear that someone would talk to him or make fun of him. As a little boy he was very honest.
Mohandas was married at the early age of thirteen, which in India at that time was not thought to be too young. The young wife of Mohandas had never been to school. This early marriage did not help his lessons, and he lost a year in high school. Luckily, by hard work he was able to finish two classes in one year.
At the age of eighteen Gandhi went to a college, but remained only for part of a year. The lessons did not interest him and he did not do well. Soon after this he was advised to go to England to study to be a lawyer. This would not be easy. Yet, in spite of all difficulties, the young Mohandas sailed for England, leaving a wife and child behind. After four years of study, young Gandhi passed his law examinations and returned to India.

Why Are Clouds White
The clouds:
A cloud is defined as a mass of little drops of water, also known as droplets, and water crystals (ice) in the atmosphere. There are always thousands of water droplets hanging in the atmosphere but when their amount crosses a certain threshold mark; they become visible as white-colored clouds. They scatter light and help keep the earth remain cool. They acquire the color of their background i.e. the background affects the color of the clouds.
The reason:
So why do some of them look grey or black?
A simple answer is: both the quality and the quantity matter! Let’s see it this way: Black or grey clouds are the thickest among clouds so when light falls on them, in addition to repeated reflections, they also soak up the light and thus appear dark in color.
Moreover, even this is a relative phenomenon. If one looked at the same clouds from an airplane or by some other means from higher altitudes, he would find them white! Because there, he/she would be in the clouds and thus the thickness of clouds that are above him would be lesser.
What other colors are clouds?
During the sunset one can find clouds with a red or an orange ting. The reason is: during sunset/sunrise the sunlight has to travel a longer distance through the atmosphere and the dust particle scattered in the atmosphere scatter red light i.e. the background becomes red thus the clouds appear red. And if there is a lot of red or orange light falling on a cloud with a lot of water droplets, the cloud would appear green to us.

آیا تا به حال از خود پرسیده‌اید که بلندترین کلمات در زبان‌های مختلف کدام‌ها هستند؟ به گزارش یاهو، عده‌ای واژه Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious که برگرفته از فیلم "مری‌پاپینز" است را طولانی‌ترین واژه در زبان انگلیسی می‌دانند اگرچه هیچ معنی خاصی نداشته و شاید تنها یادآور خاطرات کودکی آنها باشد. اما در حقیقت این واژه ۳۴ حرفی طولانی ترین واژه‌ای نیست که در انگلیسی وجود دارد.
خوب ما پاسخ این سوال را برای زبان انگلیسی می‌دانیم. نام علمی تایتین، بلندترین کلمه در زبان انگلیسی است که ۱۸۹۸۱۹ حرف دارد و اگر بخواهید آن را تلفظ کنید، در صورتی که سریع و پیوسته بخوانید حداقل ۳.۵ ساعت طول خواهد کشید.
به گزارش شبکه ایران به نقل از تلگراف، دانشمندان طی پژوهشی جدید به بررسی کلماتی پرداختند که صحیح نوشتن آن ها برای اغلب افرادی که زبان انگلیسی سروکار دارند، دشوار است.
کلمه "separate" به معنی "جدا، جداگانه و تفکیک کردن " در صدر لیست کلماتی قرار دارد که بیشترین غلط املایی هنگام نوشتن آن صورت می گیرد؛ اغلب افراد حرف a پس از p را به اشتباه e می نویسند.
دومین کلمه در لیست کلماتی که به اشتباه املاء(هجی) می شوند، "definitely" است که اکثر افراد در تشخیص محل به کار بردن حروف i و e دچار مشکل می شوند.
کلماتی چون "Manoeuvre " و "Occurrence" نیز در ادامه این لیست قرار دارند.
یکی از نکات جالب توجه در این پژوهش که بر روی 3 هزارو 500 نفر انجام گرفته آن است که اغلب انگلیسی زبانان مانند ما، کلمات انگلیسی را همان طور که تلفظ می شوند، نوشته و به این ترتیب اغلب اشتباه می کنند.

2 سوم از افرادی که در این مطالعه مورد بررسی قرار گرفته اند، اذعان دارند که امکانات تصیح املاء کلمات در نرم افزارهای رایانه ای ویرایش کلمات، آنها را در صحیح نوشتن کلمات در نامه نگاری های دستی یا یادداشت نویسی ناتوان ساخته است.
نکته قابل توجه دیگر آن است که باوجود چنین اشتباهاتی در نوشتن، بیش از 77 درصد از افراد توانایی خود در صحیح نوشتن را با کلمات "خوب " یا "خیلی خوب" توصیف می کنند
